The old factory has now been transformed into the Rörstrand Center with a popular museum where you can learn all about the porcelain craft. Rörstrand Centre. Rörstrand has influenced the Swedish design scene since it was founded almost three centuries ago and many of the Rörstrand items have become icons for Swedish design. Rörstrand Center also contains what is possibly Sweden’s smallest porcelain factory - Porslinsfabriken i Lidköping – which keeps the tradition alive after the large-scale production has moved abroad. By way of close collaboration with contemporary designers like Anna Elzer Oscarson, they produce modern ceramics in a traditional setting. The manufacture of porcelain is the Lidköping, town, Västra Götaland län (county), southwestern Sweden, at the mouth of the Lidån River on Kinneviken Bay, Lake Vänern. It is of medieval origin and was chartered in 1446.

Produktionen vid ALP omfattade hushållsgods, främst mat-, te- och kaffeserviser men även konstobjekt i Rörstrands stil. Ledande konstnärliga medarbetare var främst den från Rörstrand nedflyttade Algot Eriksson, som 1912-1917 gjorde flera kollektioner i linje med det han tillverkat vid Rörstrand.
